TREATMENTS
Acupuncture- works by stimulating the body's original qi (energy, life-force). It is Qi that distinguishes living beings from inanimate objects and supports our very existence. Qi circulates through twelve major meridians or energy pathways in the body, each linked to specific internal organs. Where there is physical injury, mental or emotional conflict, the healthy flow of Qi will be blocked. By inserting thin, sterile needles into specific points along these meridian lines, the flow of energy can be restored to its natural balance and the physical injury or illness can be remedied.

Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture)- used in the diagnosis and treatment of organ system disharmony. It works to control pain and effectively treat addictions to alcohol, hard drugs and nicotine.

Moxabustion- a process whereby the herb mugwort is burned over specific acupuncture points and areas of the body. This technique sends a deep penetrating heat into the body, used to warm, tonify and stimulate qi and blood circulation. It also induces the smooth flow of essential substances, prevents disease and preserves health.

Cupping- a procedure which involves creating a suction on the skin by heating medical cups. It is especially useful in the treatment of problems of local Qi, or Blood stagnation in the meridians resulting in pain. Cupping draws blood to the external capillaries of the body which encourages qi and blood flow to clear stagnation. It can also be very helpful in expelling the external pathogenic factors that can invade the lungs causing symptoms of the common cold.

Chinese Diet Therapy- advice given on how to properly select foods according to their natures and those of the body. If combined properly, foods can act as medicine. Foods are used to strengthen digestion, increase energy, and balance the body. Diet Therapy is often used in combination with other treatments to increase their effectiveness.
